Cynthia - Office Manager
Hello, my name is Cynthia and I am Dr. Amburgey’s Office Manager. I grew up in the Northern Virginia area and graduated from high school in 1969. I came down south for college and earned my Bachelor of Science Degree, in Home Economics Education, from the University of Tennessee in 1973. My husband and I moved to the Johnson City area in 1976. We have been blessed with five fantastic children and three adorable grandchildren.
Let me begin by telling you what I see as my mission for my professional career. I want to work efficiently, doing my job to the best of my ability, while providing the people I come in contact with the same degree of fairness and courtesy I would expect given to me. Dr. Amburgey is always encouraging his staff to attend continuing education classes. I attend multiple classes during the year that help me learn how to deal with the various issues and problems that effect Dr. Amburgey’s practice and the patients he serves. Insurance is one of the primary areas I frequently attend classes in. I am always trying to learn better ways to deal with the insurance companies so our patients will receive the maximum coverage they deserve. I also seek out classes that help me learn better and find more efficient ways to process the abundance of paper work that is associated with a patient’s visit. This helps minimize the amount of delay a patient experiences when they come to the front desk at the end of their appointment.
In my years of working at Dr. Amburgey’s, I have tried and will continue to try, to provide each and every patient with the best care and service I can. Treating them with the utmost degree of fairness and courtesy is important to me. I have always felt blessed that Dr. Amburgey’s practice seems to attract the kind of individuals that affords me this same degree of fairness and courtesy. I will thank you in advance for putting your faith and dental care in our hands. For my part, I will always strive to never disappoint you.
