Hello, my name is Crystal and I am Dr. Amburgey’s Dental Assistant. I joined Dr. Amburgey and his team September, 2009. It was a blessing that I was selected for the job and I was treated as a part of the team right away. I have found that Dr. Amburgey and I share the same goals for the care and treatment of our patients.
I was born and raised in Carter County. I graduated from Happy Valley High School with Honors the Spring of 1998 and entered East Tennessee State University that Fall. I was accepted into the University’s Dental Assistant program. I was on the Dean’s List and received my certification in 2000. I am licensed by the Tennessee State Board of Dental Examiners in nitrous oxide monitoring, radiology, and I am trained in basic life support. I also hold certifications in Infection Control and OSHA Regulations for dental offices. With Dr. Amburgey’s help and encouragement I recently received my certification for expanded functions to place Sealants and do Coronal Polishing. I have found that being a Dental Assistant for over eleven years has given me a greater understanding of the needs of my patients and the ability to make their experience in our office as pleasant and stress free as possible.
My personal life is a very active one. God has blessed me with two beautiful children that keep me very busy. My son, Noah Matthew Feathers (born on January 2, 2000) plays basketball and loves to skate. My daughter, Kaleigh Jordan Feathers (born on June 24, 2003) is a cheerleader, a Girl Scout, and enjoys playing basketball. They have brought me great joy and lots of laughter. We are members of Fairhaven Baptist Church in Johnson City.
While working with Dr. Amburgey I have had the opportunity to attend many continuing education courses. I feel it is very important to our practice, and the patients we treat, to continue to learn and stay up to date on the changes within the dental field. I am committed to treating my patients with the utmost care and compassion. My goal is to treat all patients the way I would want to be treated… AS FAMILY! I feel very honored to be a part of Dr. Amburgey’s practice and the team that work with him.
